Ups and Downs

There were ups and downs all the time. We would see the boys do really well for a few day with there eating and breathing and the next day they would have oxygen in there nose. Brady had the most trouble, he had a bloated stomach and they couldn't figure out why it was like that. It was causing him to have issues with both his breathing and eating. The other boys seemed to be heading in the right direction. It would really hurt to see him like that. The doctors performed a procedure to see if he had a disease that was causing him to be like this. That for me was probably the hardest day of being in the NICU. The results came back negative. So the doctors were ruling it immature digestive system. It did seem that there were always more ups then downs, but then again I had to remember they were born 10 weeks early. There could have been alot worse things wrong.
