NICU

They were born 10 weeks early. Chase was the only to have any issues when the first came. He was having an issue with his breathing and was giving some medicine to help develop his lungs a little fatser. The issue went a way after a few days. Then Brady joined in by having some issues with his stomach and they did a procedure to check out his stomach for a disease. Riley just plugged along without any worries. They were staying in the NICU at Hotel Kaiser in Santa Clara.

The Boys

Riley was baby "A", Brady was baby "B", and Chase was baby "C". All along babies B and C were suppose to be identical twins with A just a faternal triplet. But when they came out A and C were the identical twins and B was the faternal triplet. So Riley and Chase are identical twins and Brady the faternal triplet. everyone got that? There will be a test. The cool thing is the way they came out is Riley Dennis and Chase Lawrence have the middle names of our deceased fathers and they ened up the identical twins. Brady Jordan is the faternal who was named after Tom Brady and Michael Jordan, what a combo.

Chase Lawrence Dolan is born and weighs in at 3lbs and 2 ounces and is 15 inches long.

Brady Jordan Dolan is born and weighs in at 3lbs and 15 inches long. He is Trevor's favorite already and is Jordan Brady to him.

Riley Dennis Dolan was born first, he weighed 3 lbs 4 ounces and was 15 inches long.

Stacy gets wheeled into the operating room and I wait outside. After a few minutes, they call me in to sit next to Stacy. Its like a zoo in the room. There are at least 15-20 people in there. Then it all started.

February 27, 2008

Stacy called me at work and told me that she was having contractions during her nap and the montiors had picked them up, she had a hard time feeling most of them. Her doctor was going to stop on by the hospital on her way home from the other hospital and look at her. So I decided to leave work and join her. Her doctor showed up and examined her and said it was TIME!!!! We both looked at each other and said here we go.

The next nine months

Stacy had a great first pregnancy with Trevor so we were not even worried about this one. Everyday it seemed liked she got bigger and bigger, which she should since she was carrying three babies. Afeter a few months went by, it came time to find out what we were having. We went over all the possibilities we could have, 3 girls, 3 boys, 2 boys 1 girl, 2 girls 1 boy. We always wanted the all American family with one boy and one girl, but that went out the door when we heard we were having triplets. We were hoping to have 1 boy and 2 girls so we could have 2 of each. Well the day came and the verdict was 3 BOYS. We were going to have 4 BOYS. I was going to carry on the Dolan name four times! We were a little disappointed, but were going to have more kids and we had been trying for a couple of years, so the disappointment went out the door. The things that went through my head when I found out we were having three more boys were almost got my starting five basketball players and oh no, I wont even get to play golf in my own foursome for fathers day. Stacy got to work all the way up to 1/18/08. Then she was put on bed rest. After a while, we went into see our doctor and the next thing you Stacy was on strict bed rest in the hospital. This lasted a week or so and she got to come home on bed rest. This happened a few times over the next month . We didn't know how we were going to make it to May 10, 2008, which was the due date. We knew that carring triplets, we wouldn't make it that far, but was hoping to carry them in to at least late March or mid April.

The Story Begins

Our son Trevor was born 10/30/02. He was the greatest thing that ever happened to us. We always wanted to have a bother or sister to play with Trevor, but just could get pregnant. We tried and tried. We started to have doubts, so we went to see the fertility doctor. That didn't work for a couple of years and finally on our last attempt, it happened! We went to the doctor and confirmed it was true. We were there getting an ultra sound done and were told we were having twins, then all of a sudden the tech said I think there is a THIRD one there. We were stunned! We were on cloud nine that we were having a baby, now we are having triplets. Yes, triplets! I just remember calling people on the way home from the doctors office and fighting with people on the phone that didn't believe us.

The Dolan Family

Well I wanted to create an area where my friends and family could go and get up dates on my family. I was emailing pictures and stories of my new family and they were not going through to people. So I decide that if I created a page like this, I could update it at least once a week and anyone could visit it to see what was going on in our busy life. So I hope everyone will enjoy this as much as I will doing it. Here is a what my family looked like before 2-27-08.
